“ Update: after the GSM Hamza at Sherwood Nissan reached out to us and clarified some things, I am pleased to say that he is working with us to correct the issues we experienced and hopefully we will be able to get ourselves into a new vehicle. He seemed genuinely concerned with our overall experience with Northside and Sherwood Nissan and while he only has control over how Sherwood Nissan handles the situation, he assured me he will do his best to make things right. A lot of what we experienced started with bad customer service at the Northside Nissan location and Sherwood Nissan, Peter, and now Hamza unfortunately, just kind of got stuck in the middle of it all. OP: My husband and I were seriously considering purchasing a 2026 Nissan Leaf and were prepared to place an order. Unfortunately, our experience between Sherwood Nissan and the Northside Nissan dealership was frustrating enough that we ultimately walked away from the purchase altogether. Sherwood Nissan initially provided excellent service. Peter was friendly, responsive, and helpful while discussing pricing, trade-in options, and EV charging requirements. While waiting for feedback on a few minor details, we had decided that we were going to pull the trigger and place the order for the Leaf but, unfortunately we never got the opportunity to do that because the experience went sideways. Peter reached out and informed us that Sherwood Nissan was not actually certified to sell the Nissan Leaf and that we would need to work with their sister dealership instead. This was confusing because both the dealership website and Nissan Canada's information appeared to indicate otherwise. After confirming with Nissan Canada that Sherwood Nissan is indeed certified to sell EV's, I was left even more puzzled and confused by what Peter had told us. From there, we were passed between multiple salespeople, had to repeat the same conversations several times, received conflicting information regarding charging equipment and EV incentives, and felt increasing pressure to commit before ever driving the vehicle. After weeks of back-and-forth, our scheduled test drive never happened because we were informed the last Leaf on the lot had been sold. At that point, the process had become so disorganized and disappointing that we decided not to purchase the vehicle at all. While there were staff members who genuinely tried to help, the overall experience was inconsistent, confusing, and ultimately cost Nissan a sale. ”

Back and forth with Go Nissan and decided to go with Sherwood after their Finance guy made it seem like I didn’t have a choice. He was not helpful or pleasant with me. Zero accountability, Sales guy is new (he was pleasant) but forgot paperwork, forgot my second key, had to make a second trip to my home, texts taking forever to get a response. I feel I was mislead. No Block Heater even though Go Nissan had one, but that’s on me for not asking. Even though Sherwood said they would beat and match anything Go Nissan offered. That was a lie. Sherwood price was higher. No Block Heater, And when delivered there was no top on the trunk space. I was told by text I would get one. And since then I have had zero responses from the dealer. A top cost the dealership almost nothing. That is bad customer service, and I wish I went with Go Nissan. I feel utterly defeated and mislead. ”
“ We had a pretty positive experience, up until the end of our discussion. Our salesperson got us a price we wanted on a nice used car and was very knowledgeable and helpful. However I had to knock off one star because, though we were excited about the price they gave us, we said we needed to sleep on it for one night and even asked what time they open in the morning so we could be the first people back in. When we insisted we didn’t want to sign a deal right at that minute their demeanour changed immediately and we felt rushed out (which may be in part due to them closing around that time -to be fair). We were planning on returning the next day after researching insurance prices to purchase the vehicle - which we mentioned, but the end of the interaction had bad vibes and left a sour feeling in us so after leaving we decided to look at other dealerships instead. All in all we found the experience very positive up until the end of our interaction. I would recommend this dealership if you’re ready to buy a car right away. ”
“ Yeah not impressed. Girlfriend bought a Platinum Nissan Murano in 2013 with a full protection package with lifetime warranty and stored it in her garage without driving it until now. Some of the chrome trim bubbled. The paint protection they put on dried out but since she never brought it in every 2- years to validate their warranty they will NOT stand behind their workmanship. NO GOOD WILL WARRANTY HERE. I have to give them a 1-star rating, I am not allowed to give them a 0-star rating which I would if I could. Will be taking our business elsewhere in the future. ”
“ Bought a Nissan Rogue in 2022 with $8,000 in extended coverage, a complete waste of money. When I used it for a windshield replacement, I was still charged $65 out of pocket and got a cheap aftermarket part that chips easily. My leather seat cracked from what is clearly a material defect, not covered. Front suspension noise in cold weather? $185 inspection fee before they'll even tell you if it's covered. To top it off, I was verbally quoted $6,500 for my trade-in but only received $6,000 on paper. I found out they’re only giving me 6k once all the paperwork is done. That was a huge red flag, but I had already invested so much time that I accepted it anyway, which was a mistake. ”
