“ I brought my 2009 Honda Civic to Sherwood Nissan to have the control arms, tie rods, and a wheel alignment completed. I paid $1,729.75 over two transactions, expecting the repairs to be done correctly and, most importantly, safely. When I picked up the vehicle, within two minutes of leaving the dealership it was shaking and wandering left and right. Since I picked it up after the service department had closed, I had to return the next day. Visit #2: I was told the alignment would be redone because the first one "should have worked." I picked the vehicle up again, and nothing had changed. Visit #3: I was then told the rough ride was coming from the rear suspension. Once again, I picked the vehicle up and the original steering problem was still there. Three visits and the exact same issue remained. To make matters worse, I had just started a new job that same week and relied on the dealership's courtesy Ubers while my vehicle was repeatedly in the shop. My commute is approximately 35 minutes each way on Anthony Henday Drive, and I made it very clear that I needed my vehicle repaired properly because my safety depended on it. After losing confidence in the dealership, I took the vehicle to Kal Tire in Tamarack for another opinion. Within minutes, their technician brought both me and the buyer of the vehicle into the shop and showed us the problem. The right inner and outer tie rod ends had excessive play. He refused to perform an alignment because it would have been pointless and unsafe until the tie rods were replaced—the same repair I had already paid Sherwood Nissan to perform. Kal Tire replaced the tie rods, completed the alignment, and the vehicle immediately drove straight and smooth. The buyer has since told me it drives like a completely different car. When I contacted the General Manager, Andrew, his response focused on the vehicle's age rather than the fact that I had paid for repairs that were not properly completed. He eventually offered to refund only the cost of the tie rod parts (about $170) but refused to refund the alignment, even though the alignment could never have been correct with worn steering components. What disappointed me most was the complete lack of accountability. There was no apology for the inconvenience, no acknowledgment of the safety concerns, and no ownership of what happened. I will say that my service advisor, Nick, was professional and genuinely listened to my concerns throughout the process. Ironically, I felt far more heard by the service advisor than by management. This review is not about the age of my vehicle. Older vehicles require repairs—that's exactly why I brought it to a dealership and paid to have those repairs completed properly. This review is about paying for work that was not done correctly, making three return trips without resolution, and ultimately paying another repair shop to fix the same issue. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Sherwood Nissan's service department. ”

“ I recently purchased a vehicle from here... my experience started out great, until I drove away off the lot with my new car. I was called by the general service manager 20 mins after I left, during the call I was called a liar, talked down to , yelled at and intimidated. He tried to convince me to come in and bring my car back because he was going dissolve the contract, and lied to me saying theres a 2 day cooling off period " ( which in alberta there is no such law) just to try to get me to breach the contract. He told me my trade in wasnt worth what they gave me for it. Basically he was upset that he didnt do his job and over see his team. Mean while all the paper work was signed, hands were shook and I drove off, AFTER, 3 of his team looked at my trade in and said nothing to me. I was also there for over 90 mins, and some how I am the one at fault?? Good thing I had a witness with me through it all. I will NEVER go back here ever again. The way they treat women is horrendous. I will definitely steer anyone and everyone I know from purchasing here ”

“ I originally left a 4-star review because I genuinely believed I had received good service. Unfortunately, my experience changed drastically after I signed the paperwork, and I’ve updated my review. I came to the dealership for a warranty appointment with no intention of buying a vehicle. While waiting, I was invited to explore newer models. After reviewing the numbers, I learned I could get a slightly better interest rate by trading into a new vehicle, so I decided to move forward. I also negotiated several extras, including a four-year oil change package, dash camera, premium floor mats, and cargo cover, which made the deal seem attractive. After signing, everything changed. I was asked to return the next day for the remaining installations. I explained I already had another commitment and might not make the suggested time. I was told someone would call to confirm my appointment, but no one did. Instead, I later received a call asking where I was. When I arrived, I waited approximately six hours, only to be told not everything could be completed and that I’d have to return again. I understand delays happen, but better communication and respect for a customer’s time would have made a big difference. Instead, I was left feeling as though the inconvenience was somehow my fault. I also felt pressured to sign because I was told the financing offer and negotiated deal would expire that day. After doing my own research and speaking with people much more knowledgeable about cars than I am, I realized the deal was not nearly as attractive as I had believed. The Finance Manager represented the dash camera as being worth about $900, but my research suggested it retailed for only a small fraction of that. I also came to believe the undercoating and rust protection were excessively overpriced, despite being told I was receiving an employee discount. I was also left with the impression they were more important than 3M paint protection, only to later receive very different advice. I also discovered the vehicle already had a block heater installed that couldn’t be removed, even though it was presented as an optional add-on and I was charged separately for it. I was also left with the understanding that VIN etching protection was mandatory, only to later realize it was an optional insurance product. Looking back, I don’t feel the optional products were explained with enough clarity or transparency, and I left feeling there was a lack of transparency throughout that part of the sales process. Less than 24 hours after signing, I returned after doing more research and asked whether I could change some of the optional products. I understand contracts are binding; my disappointment wasn’t the answer “no,” but how differently I was treated. The Finance Manager—and, in my experience, most of the people involved in selling me the vehicle—had a noticeably different attitude after the paperwork was signed. I no longer felt listened to, supported, or valued as a customer. After waiting all day, I asked for help setting up the dash camera. Instead of assisting me or assigning someone familiar with the product, the Finance Manager asked another employee who wasn’t familiar with the cameras to help. I don’t blame that employee, but it reinforced my feeling that my concerns were no longer being taken seriously. The one person I want to acknowledge is Peter, the salesperson, who genuinely tried to help and followed up after these issues arose. Before the sale, I felt supported. After the sale, I felt dismissed. The level of customer service changed dramatically the moment the paperwork was signed. If you’re considering buying a vehicle here, do your own research, seek advice from people knowledgeable about cars, and carefully review the contract and every optional product before signing. Based on my experience, don’t expect the same level of customer service after the paperwork is signed. ”
